Music has played a huge part in my life and I've been playing instruments since I was very young. Having worked all my life as a sound engineer including outdoor events, festivals, gigs and over 15 years in the West End, music has always driven me.  Whilst working on Jersey Boys, I began to tinker with guitars. I was bought a Strat by one of the guitarists that had had a new switch installed and asked if I could swap a couple of wires over as it wasn't working correctly. I looked at the wiring and thought - I know how this massive PA system cables together from start to finish and yet looking at the inside of this guitar which ends in just a positive and a negative I'm lost! I set out from there to learn about guitar electronics and started with rewiring a no-name Strat that was lying around. The wiring was sucessful but the instrument was unplayable! I took it to the show's guitar tech Stuart Monks who transformed it in to a great playing guitar in short order. This fascinated me and so with the aid of some guitar kits and Stu's help and mentorship I learnt how to build and setup guitars. This quickly become an all consuming passion - pity my poor wife - and has directed my development for the past 10 years.

Previous work includes the setup and maintainance of the guitars and basses on Jersey Boys; West End and UK Tour. Setup of the instruments for Tina the Musical. Custom build commisions, rennovations and repairs.

I now have a dedicated custom built guitar workshop and am fortunate to have a great customer base of players -  both professional and private.
